26/27 Fall - Spring Registration is now LIVE!

  • These Terms & Conditions apply to all students, families, participants, and guests of Connecticut Dance Arts Community (CDAC), including The Studio at Guilford Center (SGC) and The Cheshire Performing Arts Academy (CPAA), as well as all classes, programs, rehearsals, performances, competitions, showcases, camps, private lessons, workshops, events, and other activities operated, organized, sponsored, or affiliated with Connecticut Dance Arts Community. By registering for or participating in any CDAC class, program, or event, students and/or their parent or legal guardian acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

  • Registration & Membership: Annual registration is required for all students enrolled in classes and for all Dance Company applicants at SGC and CPAA. Memberships are valid for one dance season and expire following the Annual Spring Showcase. Registration and membership fees are non-refundable.

  • Tuition, AutoPay & Card on File: All students enrolled in monthly classes are required to have a valid credit or debit card on file and be enrolled in AutoPay. Monthly tuition will be automatically charged to the card on file on the 1st of each month. Tuition is based on the full dance season and divided into monthly installments. Holidays, scheduled studio closures, and seasonal breaks have already been accounted for when determining tuition rates and do not reduce or prorate monthly tuition. Core Students: Tuition is billed monthly from September 2026 through May 2027. Company Students: Tuition is billed monthly from September 2026 through June 2027 due to the 2026/2027 season being a Nationals year. Enrollment and required payment are necessary to reserve a student's placement in a class or program.

  • Mid-Month Enrollment: Students who enroll after the 1st of the month are responsible for the full monthly tuition for the month in which they enroll. The applicable tuition must be paid in full prior to the student attending their first class. Students who enroll after the 15th of the month will receive a prorated tuition credit based on their enrollment date. The applicable credit will be applied to their account after enrollment.

  • Spring Showcase & Costume Fees: Costume fees, when applicable, for the Annual Spring Showcase are included in monthly tuition for students enrolled for the full season. Students who enroll after the beginning of the season may have a remaining costume balance based on the tuition installments missed prior to enrollment. Any outstanding costume balance must be paid in full prior to the Spring Showcase. Participation in the Annual Spring Showcase and other CDAC performances or events may be subject to additional event-specific requirements, deadlines, fees, or policies communicated to participating families.

  • Pay-in-Full Discount: Families may choose to pay the full 2026/2027 season tuition by cash or check and receive a 5% tuition discount. Payment in full must be received no later than September 18, 2026 to qualify for the discount.

  • Late & Outstanding Payments: A $25 late fee will be applied to overdue invoices. Accounts with outstanding balances may result in a student being temporarily unable to participate in classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, events, or other CDAC programs until the account is brought current. Families are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method on file and promptly updating any expired, declined, or otherwise invalid payment information.

  • Class Cancellations & Withdrawals: Enrollment and monthly AutoPay will continue unless a cancellation or withdrawal request is submitted in writing. All requests to cancel or withdraw from a monthly class must be received in writing at least seven (7) days before the next billing cycle. Requests received fewer than seven (7) days before the next billing cycle will not take effect until the following billing cycle. The upcoming monthly tuition payment will remain due and will be charged as scheduled. Tuition already charged is non-refundable. Cancellation and withdrawal requests must be submitted to the appropriate studio:

    • The Cheshire Performing Arts Academy (CPAA): Billing.CPAA@gmail.com

    • The Studio at Guilford Center (SGC): Billing.theSGC@gmail.com

    • Requests to transfer between classes must also be submitted in writing. Class transfers are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

  • Elective Classes, Camps & Private Lessons: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start of an elective class or camp, or failure to attend without notice ("no show"), will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Private lessons canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as failure to attend a scheduled private lesson without notice, will be billed in full. Additional cancellation or refund policies may apply to certain CDAC events, workshops, competitions, performances, or special programs and will be communicated at the time of registration when applicable.

  • Absences, Make-Up Classes & Studio Closures: Make-up classes may be offered for classes canceled by CDAC, SGC, CPAA, or an instructor when scheduling permits but are not guaranteed. Make-up classes are not guaranteed for student absences. Student absences do not qualify for tuition credits, refunds, or prorated tuition. In the event of inclement weather, emergency closures, or other circumstances requiring a studio, class, program, rehearsal, or event to be canceled, delayed, relocated, or otherwise modified, notifications will be communicated via email and/or the applicable studio's communication and social media channels. Scheduled studio closures, holidays, and seasonal breaks have already been accounted for when determining seasonal tuition and therefore do not result in tuition adjustments.

  • Studio Expectations & Conduct: Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared for class, rehearsal, or other CDAC activity. Students must follow the applicable dress code, wear appropriate footwear, and have hair secured as required for their class or activity. All students, parents, guardians, family members, and guests are expected to treat instructors, staff, volunteers, fellow students, other families, venues, and event personnel with courtesy and respect. Connecticut Dance Arts Community, including SGC and CPAA, reserves the right to dismiss or remove any student, participant, parent, guardian, family member, or guest whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, threatening, abusive, disrespectful, or otherwise inconsistent with maintaining a safe and positive learning and community environment. No refunds will be issued as a result of dismissal for conduct violations.

  • Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk: Participation in dance, tumbling, acrobatics, fitness, rehearsals, performances, competitions, showcases, camps, workshops, private lessons, and other CDAC classes, programs, events, and related activities involves inherent risks of injury. By registering for or participating in a CDAC activity, students, participants, and/or their parent or legal guardian acknowledge these inherent risks and voluntarily assume the risks associated with participation. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Connecticut Dance Arts Community, The Studio at Guilford Center, The Cheshire Performing Arts Academy, and their respective owners, directors, instructors, employees, staff, volunteers, contractors, affiliates, and representatives shall not be held liable for injuries, accidents, illnesses, losses, or damage to persons or personal property arising from participation in CDAC classes, programs, rehearsals, performances, competitions, showcases, camps, workshops, private lessons, events, or related activities, except as otherwise required by applicable law. This acknowledgment includes risks associated with exposure to communicable illnesses.

  • Off-Site Activities & Events: These Terms & Conditions apply to CDAC-associated activities regardless of whether they take place at an SGC or CPAA studio location or at an off-site location. This includes, but is not limited to, competitions, conventions, Nationals, performances, showcases, community events, field trips, rehearsals, workshops, and other CDAC-sponsored or affiliated activities held at theaters, schools, hotels, convention centers, competition venues, or other third-party locations. Students and families are also responsible for complying with any applicable rules, policies, safety requirements, and conduct expectations established by third-party venues or event organizers.

  • Acknowledgment & Agreement: By registering, enrolling, purchasing, or participating in a class, program, activity, or event offered through Connecticut Dance Arts Community, The Studio at Guilford Center, or The Cheshire Performing Arts Academy, the student, participant, and/or parent or legal guardian acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to abide by these 2026/2027 Terms & Conditions. These Terms & Conditions apply to participation at both studio locations and all associated Connecticut Dance Arts Community programs and events, unless separate written terms are provided for a specific program or event.
